Clearing the Clutter

Thanksgiving, a season when dining tables transform, and favorite dishes carry not just flavors but memories of generations past and present. The clinking of silverware, the familiar chatter, and the warmth of family and friends, creating new memories.

Thanksgiving is steeped in tradition.

Thanksgiving is more than a feast; it's a living testament to the enduring power of tradition. From the classic turkey at the center of the table to the familiar aroma of pumpkin pie wafting through the air, each piece holds a story—a chapter in the ongoing narrative of family, friends, connection, and gratitude.

As I sit writing this post, I remember the hustle and bustle of reading the dining room for guests, removing the wedding china from its top cabinet, making a pumpkin pie (my grandmother always made the apple pie) and my mom rising at 3am to put the turkey into the oven at a low temperature and returning to bed. Imagine awakening to the delightful aromas of turkey. In my mind, preparations continue, guests arrive, the parade is on the television and memories are created.

As we prepare for next week, in this season of thanks, the spirit of Thanksgiving is more than the feast, it is the shared moments of preparation and the collaborative efforts that go into creating a memorable celebration.
